Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Stepify, a product of Landing Pad Digital Co., Ltd. ("Company", "we", "our", "us"), accessible at stepify.it.

By creating an account or using Stepify, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The Service

Stepify is an AI-powered tutorial generation platform. It navigates web applications using browser automation, captures screenshots, and produces step-by-step tutorials with annotated images and video walkthroughs.

The service includes:

• A platform connection feature that allows you to securely link your web application accounts
• An AI-powered tutorial generation engine
• Tutorial management, viewing, sharing, and download tools
• Pre-configured "Showcase" platforms for demonstration purposes

2. Accounts and Registration

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@stepify.it if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

2.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

3. Platform Connections

3.1 Your Authorisation

When you connect a third-party platform, you authorise Stepify to:

• Launch a remote browser session on our server for you to log in
• Capture and encrypt the session cookies resulting from your login
• Use those encrypted cookies to access the platform on your behalf for tutorial generation

3.2 Your Responsibilities

By connecting a platform, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the right and authority to access that platform
• Your use of Stepify with that platform does not violate the platform's terms of service
• You will not use Stepify to access accounts or data that you are not authorised to access
• You understand that tutorials generated on your platform may contain your business data

3.3 Third-Party Platform Terms

Stepify is not affiliated with any third-party platform you connect. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any platform you use with Stepify. We are not liable for any consequences arising from your use of Stepify with third-party platforms, including account suspension or data loss on those platforms.

3.4 Revocation

You can disconnect any platform at any time from the Platforms page in your Stepify dashboard. This permanently deletes the encrypted cookies for that connection.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Stepify to:

• Access any system, account, or data without proper authorisation
• Generate tutorials that contain or expose confidential information of third parties without their consent
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data from platforms in violation of their terms
• Distribute tutorials containing unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Stepify
• Use the service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or infrastructure
• Use Stepify to generate tutorials for the purpose of competitive intelligence gathering through unauthorised access

4b. Third-Party Personal Data in Tutorials

When you use Stepify to generate tutorials from platforms that display personal data of other individuals (customers, contacts, colleagues, or third parties), you are responsible for ensuring that:

1. You have the legal right or legitimate business purpose to document the platform and its content.
2. You do not intentionally capture personal data of third parties beyond what is incidentally visible in normal platform use.
3. You review generated tutorials before sharing them publicly to verify that automatic redaction has covered all visible personal data.
4. You do not share or publish tutorials that contain unredacted personal data of individuals without their consent.

Stepify applies automatic PII redaction to all screenshots, but automatic processes are not infallible. The responsibility to verify that shared tutorials do not contain unredacted third-party personal data rests with you as the tutorial creator.

If you identify a compliance concern in a tutorial you have generated, contact hello@stepify.it immediately.

4c. AI Processing of Your Content

Tutorial generation uses multiple AI models at different stages of the pipeline. By using Stepify, you consent to your tutorial goal text, platform information, and redacted screenshots being processed by Anthropic's Claude AI service as part of generating your tutorial.

You retain ownership of the tutorial content generated. Stepify does not claim intellectual property rights over tutorials you create.

You must not submit goals or generate tutorials that:

• Are intended to document platforms or processes in order to facilitate fraud, harassment, or any illegal activity
• Would require capturing sensitive personal data (medical records, financial account details, government identification) as part of the tutorial subject matter
• Would violate the terms of service of the platform being documented

5. Tutorials and Content

5.1 Your Content

Tutorials generated through Stepify on your connected platforms constitute "Your Content." You retain ownership of the underlying business data and information that appears in those tutorials.

5.2 Licence to Stepify

By generating and storing tutorials on Stepify, you grant us a limited licence to host, store, and serve your tutorial content for the purpose of providing the service to you. If you publish a tutorial to the Stepify showcase, you grant us an additional licence to display it publicly on stepify.it.

5.3 Showcase Tutorials

Tutorials generated using Stepify's pre-configured showcase platforms (not your connected platforms) use Stepify-managed demo accounts. Content from showcase tutorials may be displayed publicly.

5.4 Your Responsibility to Review

You are responsible for reviewing tutorials before sharing them publicly. While Stepify includes automated PII redaction, it is not guaranteed to catch all sensitive information. Stepify is not liable for sensitive data that appears in tutorials you choose to share.

5.5 Removal

You can delete any tutorial at any time. We may also remove tutorials that violate these Terms or that are reported for containing harmful content.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

6.1 Plans

Stepify offers free and paid subscription plans. Plan details, pricing, and included features are described on the Pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected during signup. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.

6.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to paid features until the period ends. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.

6.4 Usage Limits

Each plan includes limits on the number of tutorials you can generate per month and the number of platforms you can connect. Exceeding these limits requires an upgrade to a higher plan. Tutorial count resets at the start of each billing cycle.

7. Free Tier and Showcase

7.1 Free Tier

The free tier provides limited access to Stepify's features, including a restricted number of tutorial generations and platform connections per month. Free tier access may be modified or discontinued at our discretion with reasonable notice.

7.2 Showcase Platforms

Stepify maintains a library of pre-configured showcase platforms that all users (free and paid) can use to generate tutorials without connecting their own accounts. Showcase tutorials are generated on demo instances managed by Stepify and do not contain user data.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Stepify Platform

The Stepify platform, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by Landing Pad Digital Co., Ltd. and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as described.

8.2 AI-Generated Content

Step descriptions, titles, and other text generated by AI during tutorial creation are produced for your use. You may use this generated text in your tutorials. However, Stepify does not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, and you are responsible for reviewing and editing it as needed.

8.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Stepify, you grant us the right to use that feedback without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Service Provided "As Is"

Stepify is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all tutorials will be accurate or complete.

9.2 Third-Party Platforms

Stepify interacts with third-party platforms that we do not control. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of any third-party platform. Changes to third-party platforms may affect Stepify's ability to generate tutorials.

9.3 AI Accuracy

Tutorial generation is powered by AI. AI may occasionally produce incorrect step descriptions, miss navigation elements, or fail to achieve the stated goal. Quality scores are provided as a guide but are not a guarantee of accuracy.

9.4 PII Redaction

Stepify's automated PII redaction system is provided as a best-effort tool. It may not detect all sensitive information in all cases. You are solely responsible for reviewing tutorials before sharing them externally.

9b. Automated Redaction Limitations

Stepify applies automatic PII redaction to all screenshots as described in the Privacy Policy. However, we do not guarantee that automatic redaction will detect all personal data in all circumstances. Layouts, languages, and data formats vary across platforms, and automatic detection may not cover all cases.

You acknowledge that:

• You have reviewed any tutorial you intend to share publicly or with third parties.
• Landing Pad Digital Co., Ltd. is not liable for any data protection violations arising from your sharing of tutorials that contain personal data that was not detected and redacted by our automated systems, where you had the opportunity to review the tutorial before sharing.
• Landing Pad Digital Co., Ltd. takes reasonable technical measures to redact personal data and will respond promptly to any reported redaction failures.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Landing Pad Digital Co., Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Stepify.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for any data loss, account suspension, or other consequences on third-party platforms resulting from your use of Stepify.
• We are not liable for the exposure of sensitive data in tutorials that you generate and share.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, all your data (including tutorials, platform connections, and encrypted cookies) will be permanently removed.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a manner that threatens the security or integrity of our platform. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on stepify.it at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Stepify after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Stepify shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
